Wall Street Journal blog congratulates Standard Innovation for becoming a hit at this year’s Consumer Electronics show. The company competed in a CES-affiliated competition called Last Gadget Standing. Ottawa’s Standard Innovation Corporation, the company behind the We-Vibe, has been selected from hundreds of nominees across Canada as a finalist for the prestigious Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
The nomination is in the business to consumer category. Finalists were chosen based on variety of factors including motivation and leadership, innovation, financial performance and community involvement, and represent Canada’s fastest-rising business leaders.
Award-winners represent a diverse range of the best and brightest from across the country. Notable former Canada-wide recipients include Cirque du Soleil, The Mattamy Corporation, and The Brick Warehouse Corporation.
This year’s winners will be unveiled at a Toronto gala on November 2, 2011.
This is the second year running for We-Vibe to be nominated for a coveted Ernst & Young prize.
