The creators of the high tech vibrator for couples, the We-Vibe, responded to that question with a “yes” during the announcement of their new product at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), in Vegas. This year’s conferences were dedicated to outlining the relation between technology and improved sexual health. A vibrator designed for couples called “We Vibe” is an innovation that is circulating among some of the biggest electronic products at CES and has proven the notion that a link between technology and sex is quite a strong one.
Online media source The Register reports CES, the world’s premier gadget festival, this year, has chosen to highlight a technilogical device owned by over 50 % of Americans- The Vibrator.
“Why shouldn’t the same high-level thinking like that used in technology and other industries be used to increase pleasure in the bedroom?” asked Grant Bechthold, VP of product development at Standard Innovation, the Ottawa, Ontario company that has sold over 2 million of its flagship product, the We-Vibe, in over 50 countries since its launch in 2008. ”Of all the places that you want a quality user experience,” he continued, “I can’t think of a better one than the bedroom, can you?”

Standard Innovation’s participation marks the first time a sexual health company has been asked to speak at the technology mega-conference.
Wall Street Journal blog congratulates Standard Innovation for becoming a hit at this year’s Consumer Electronics show. The company competed in a CES-affiliated competition called Last Gadget Standing. The newest addition to the We-Vibe product family, The Thrill by We-Vibe, made the top 25 cut, competing with electronic giants Samsung Galaxy Camera and the Galaxy Note II mobile device.
Robin Raskin, who oversees the competition and founded a company called Living in Digital Times, said Standard Innovation’s product was viewed like all the others on the merits of its technology and engineering.
