New marketing partners build buzz for We-Vibe Back to press releases

Standard Innovation Corporation teams up with scratch and NKPR

Toronto, ON. (October 5, 2011) – Standard Innovation Corporation (SIC), creator and distributor of We-Vibe – the world’s most popular vibrator for couples – recently announced a three-way partnership with leading Toronto-based agencies scratch and NKPR. The partnership was brokered to stimulate awareness of the We-Vibe product line, and the much-anticipated launch of the We-Vibe 3.

Coming to market in 2008, We-Vibe became a fast favourite, with more than two million people in more than 50 countries using the We-Vibe to add more fun and intimacy to their relationships. The patented, C-shaped intimate lifestyle product features two perfectly proportioned vibrating ends, and is designed to be worn during intercourse to maximize pleasure for both partners.

“We-Vibe is a fun, innovative product, so it goes without saying that our marketing partners need to bring energy and creativity to the table,” says Leon Benz, recently appointed Vice President of Marketing at SIC. “As Standard Innovation’s agency of record for all marketing activities, scratch is our go-to for branding, design and digital initiatives. We’ve added NKPR to the mix because they’re experts at building relationships and generating buzz. These agencies are a perfect match for the brand and each other, and we’re confident they’ll take our marketing initiatives to a new level.”

“Adding We-Vibe to the NKPR roster of clients provides us with an amazing opportunity to get outside of our comfort zone and expand our lifestyle industry expertise,” says Natasha Koifman, president of NKPR.

“Plus, NKPR is a team of 30 women, so we’re uniquely positioned to share this ingenious product with media and consumers around the world.”

NKPR will manage media relations, celebrity and influencer engagement, strategic partnerships and social media for We-Vibe in North America and Australia, and will collaborate with scratch on both traditional and digital marketing initiatives to maximize exposure for the brand.

scratch’s “work hard, have fun” business approach couldn’t be a better fit for We-Vibe. David Riabov, Partner at scratch, says the account has also brought a new vibe to the agency.

“Standard Innovation is passionate about their products, which has brought new energy to the scratch environment and has everyone lining up to work on the account.”

Launched in early 2008, the We-Vibe was designed and developed by Bruce Murison, a former Nortel engineer, and his wife Melody, when industry research revealed a lack of options for couples looking to enhance their lovemaking experience. The pair founded SIC and dedicated themselves to creating a safe, high quality intimate lifestyle product to enhance couples’ sexual experiences. Murison was recently selected as an Ontario finalist for the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in the business- to  consumer products and services category.

The We-Vibe 3 – the brand’s newest model featuring six vibration modes and a waterproof design – will have stores abuzz beginning November 1.
